Also called haluska and haluski, halushki is a simple fried cabbage and onions with noodles dish that arrived in America along with the immigrants from central and eastern Europe whose descendants still enjoy it as comfort food. I make it the way my mother taught me and I hope you enjoy it. It can be eaten as a lunch or dinner and can be served with plant-based sausage as well.
